Howard County Conservancy Wedding | Kate & Mike

Kate is a bride who put a lot of effort and personal touches into her wedding. She came up with some fantastic ideas. The overall theme of Kate and Mike’s wedding revolved around reading. If you remember their engagement session, we decided to shoot them in a children’s storybook park. Their engagement session is one of our most unique this year! We were really looking forward to their wedding at the Howard County Conservancy. These two are absolutely adorable together and a pleasure to be around, thank you so much for the opportunity to shoot your wedding.

Kate’s flowers were from Local Colors Flowers. This florist only uses local, seasonal flowers. The bouquets were really pretty!

To add some spice to the cocktail hour, they had a snowball stand! A marshmallow topping for your snowball was available upon request. I have never heard of marshmallow fluff on top of a snowball before. Kate told me it was a Baltimore thing. Look what we have missed out on being Floridians all of these years!

Local Color Flowers - Local Color Flowers was so happy to be a part of this beautiful wedding. It was great following Kate’s blog before the wedding and then creating flowers that were just for her. The photos are amazing. What great work capturing the beauty and joy of Kate and Mike’s special day!

Nicole @NicheWhite - Wheeeeee! I love it! Beautiful bridal outfit, gorgeous flowers… and a sno cone stand?! Great idea! I also had no idea about the marshmallow fluff, but I’m from Southern Maryland so….I guess we missed all the big city memos ;) Congrats to the newlyweds!

Ginger - These two appear to be deeply in love and you clearly captured that ‘loving look’ from both the bride and the groom. Again there are so many unique and beautiful shots – the library card, the kazoos, the walk down the road, the loving look shots, that beautiful dress! Although the marshmallow on a snow ball sounds odd, I’d be willing to try it. I have to agree – the s’mores take the cake!
